Handmade leather boot kilties

Holiday Gift Guide for Boot Lovers: Handmade Leather Gifts from $25

If someone in your life loves their boots, a handmade leather gift is something they'll actually use. Here's everything in my shop that makes a good gift, sorted by price, plus a few tips for getting the size right without spoiling the surprise.

Kilties ($25–$50)

Kilties are the easiest gift for a boot person. They sit over the laces, add character, protect the laces and tongue, and snug up the fit. They're sold in pairs, and the Standard 7" length fits most lace-up boots from 6" to 8". Prices run from $25 to $50 depending on the leather and length.

Gift tip: you don't need their size, just the color of their boots. Send me a photo and I'll recommend a match. My kiltie pairings by boot brand post is a good place to start.

Veg tan insoles ($30–$45)

Veg tan insoles give firm support, wick moisture, and take the shape of the boot and foot over time.

Gift tip: peek at the size inside their boots. My insoles fit most US brands true to size. For UK-sized boots like Viberg, size up a half. More in my sizing guide. If you're not sure of thickness, go with the Medium. Unworn insoles can be exchanged for a different size.

Half insoles ($35–$60)

For anyone who complains about heel slip, especially in engineer or other pull-on boots, a half insole lifts the heel without crowding the toes. Read more in How to Fix Heel Slip.

Leather cuff ($35)

The Hazel Sedgwick English Bridle Single Cuff is a nice option for someone who isn't a boot person. Cuffs come in wrist sizes, and I can custom size one if you know their wrist measurement.

Made-to-order backpacks (from $1,000)

For a once-in-a-lifetime gift, my Rolltop Expedition and Scout backpacks are made to order in a leather we pick together. Please note they take 8–12 weeks, so a backpack ordered in October may not be ready before the holidays. If you're hoping for a specific date, message me before you order. Learn more in how backpack orders work.

Timing your order

Everything is handmade by me in a small, owner-run shop. Most items take 2–5 business days to make, then ship USPS (usually 3–5 business days in the US). Ordering early is the best way to make sure your gift arrives in time. See my Shipping Policy and why handmade takes time.
