These terms apply when you use dalesleatherworks.com or buy from Dale's Leatherworks, a small, owner-run shop in Brooklyn, Maryland. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Handmade products
Everything I sell is made by hand, one at a time. Small variations in color, grain, stitching, and markings are a natural part of leather and handwork, not defects. Product photos are as accurate as I can make them, but colors can look different on different screens.
Orders and pricing
- Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time, but the price you pay is the one shown when you place your order.
- I may cancel an order and fully refund you if an item turns out to be unavailable, a price was listed in error, or I can't make it as ordered.
- Made-to-order backpacks start at the listed price. Some leathers and customizations cost more; I'll confirm the final price with you before I start, and you can cancel for a full refund if it doesn't work for you.
Processing and shipping
Because I make everything myself, items take time to make before they ship. See the Shipping Policy for current timeframes. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.
Returns
Returns and exchanges are covered by the Return & Refund Policy. Custom and made-to-order items can't be returned.
Fit and use
Sizing guidance on the site and in my messages is offered to help, but fit varies by boot, brand, and foot. Please check the measurements on each listing. Insoles, kilties, and other leather goods should be used for their normal purpose; I'm not responsible for damage to footwear or other items from misuse or modification.

Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that item.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on the site when you order is the one that applies.
