Good news first: for most boots, you just order your boot size. My insoles fit most US boot brands true to size. Here's how to handle the cases that aren't so simple.
US-sized boots
If you wear an 8.5 in Truman, Parkhurst, or Red Wing, order the 8.5. The same goes for most American makers like Grant Stone and Alden. If you're between brands, check the inch measurements on the listing against your boot's footbed.
Half sizes
For a size like 11.5, size down to the nearest whole size (the 11), then compare against the inch measurements to be sure.
UK-sized boots (Viberg, Tricker's)
Size up a half. For a UK 9 boot, order the US 9.5.
Wide boots (E, EE, EEE)
The insoles are a standard D width. They'll match the length of a wide boot but won't fill the full width. In most cases they still sit well. For a very wide or square-toe boot, I can make custom insoles ($50; you may need to send me your originals).
Old EU sizes
If you bought from me before, my sizing used to be in EU sizes: 40 = US 7, 42 = US 8, 43 = US 8.5, 44 = US 9, 45 = US 9.5, 46 = US 10, 47 = US 10.5, 48 = US 11, 49 = US 12, 50 = US 13.
